The Eibenstraße in Niederhummel sometimes resembles a race track.

So far, however, he has failed with an application for a speed limit of 30 km/h.
"They think it's a motorway," says Martin Pflügler indignantly as he stands on Eibenstrasse in Niederhummel.
The pensioner has already done everything to achieve 30 km/h for this area.
In an application, Pflügler explicitly pointed out to the municipal administration at the beginning of February that "many vehicles would race through Eibenstrasse at high speed on both sides".
He could not understand that in the immediate vicinity of a kindergarten and an inn is not limited to 30 kilometers per hour.
In addition, the traffic through the new settlement "An der Dobelbreite" has increased significantly.
Therefore, in addition to two 30 km/h signs, the applicant also proposed road narrowing based on the model on Dorfstraße in Langenbach.
He also brought a lightning station into play.

However, without the desired success.
Pfluger received a clear rejection from the community in April.
A letter of reply signed by Mayor Susanne Hoyer states that the planned "signage with 30 km/h is not legally permissible".
The kindergarten is located on Hummler Strasse and therefore cannot be used as a justification for the required signage on Eibenstrasse.

To clarify the factual and legal situation, a local meeting took place with the police, the administration, the commander of the local fire brigade and representatives of the municipal council.

Then at least monitoring of the permitted 50 kilometers per hour would be guaranteed.
The mayor understands
Martin Pflugler has now reiterated his concerns to the Freisinger Tagblatt.
"I'm afraid of coming out of my driveway," complains Pflugler.

He lives in a confusing, dangerous spot.” She also appeals to road users: “I would just be happy if everyone drove sensibly.
