In order for local residents to be able to sleep peacefully at night, the local council voted unanimously for a night-time speed limit on the M22 in the Waldkolonie district.
Now the District Attorney's Office has to make a decision.

In order to give residents on the M22 district road in Putzbrunn quieter nights, the municipal council is hoping that there will soon be a night-time speed limit.
Putzbrunn
- The district roads M22 in Unterhaching or the M11 in Grünwald takes the parliamentary group of FDP and FWG as a model for the Putzbrunn district of Waldkolonie.
There is a night speed limit of 30 kilometers per hour.
According to the wishes of the local politicians in Putzbrunn, this should also be the case on Ottobrunner Strasse and Äußere Ottobrunner Strasse in the future.
noise exceeding eleven decibels
Thomas Jungwirth (FDP/FWG) explained the application: "From our point of view, there is an enormous traffic load for the residential area on the M22.
We would like to introduce a speed limit of 30 there, especially for the night time between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m..” He is aware that the M22 is a regional district road where there are high criteria for setting a speed limit, such as a noise report.
"But this is already available through the preparation of the development plan for part of Ottobrunner Strasse," said Jungwirth.
The result is an assessment level of 61 decibels with a maximum limit of 49 decibels.
"So that's a massive noise excess of eleven decibels.
Since a speed limit of 30 km/h was introduced at night in Unterhaching and Grünwald in comparable situations, we want the same in Putzbrunn.”
The decision rests with the District Attorney's Office
The municipal council unanimously approved the application, and the administration is now contacting the Munich district office to have the possibilities of a night-time speed limit checked.
