King Felipe, godfather of the princess, has come alone to the gala dinner that has brought together a large part of the European royalty at the royal palace in Oslo this Friday

Princess Ingrid of Norway turned 18 on January 21.

But it has been now that the eldest daughter of princes Haakon and Mette-Marit, and second in line to the throne, has celebrated her coming of age in style with a gala dinner this Friday in Oslo.

A celebration that could be considered as a summit of princesses and future queens of Europe, to which only Princess Leonor has missed.

This has been the first big appointment after the funeral for the death of Prince Philip of Edinburgh, last April.

This Friday the grandparents of Princess Ingrid, Kings Harald and Sonia, have offered a gala dinner to European royalty in honor of their granddaughter.

And the royal palace in Oslo has been filled with kings, queens, heirs and heiresses, princes and princesses dressed in their best clothes and jewels.

Among those attending the birthday celebration, which had to be postponed at the time due to the pandemic, were Amalia de Orange, heiress to the throne of the Netherlands, also heiress Elizabeth of Belgium, daughter of King Philip and Matilde;

o Estela from Sweden, second in the line of succession after her mother, Victoria from Sweden.

The young princesses have posed for the first time in long dresses and their heads adorned with tiaras.

However, Leonor de Borbón has not attended the event.

The heiress to the Spanish throne just finished her first international baccalaureate course this Friday at the UWC Atlantic College in Wales (United Kingdom) and will be on vacation until the beginning of September.

The only event that the Spanish princess has confirmed in the coming weeks is the ceremony for the Princess of Girona Awards, which will take place in Barcelona.

Like other crown princesses, Leonor de Borbón was invited to the birthday party, but she has not attended – without the reasons being made public – nor has Queen Letizia.

Yes, King Felipe, godfather of the protagonist, has traveled to Oslo.

Other Spanish attendees to the celebration have been Rosario Nadal and her ex-husband Kyril from Bulgaria, who have gone along with her three children, Mafalda, Tassilo and Olimpia.

Who did attend the event was Marie-Chantal from Greece.

On her day, Marie Chantal, Felipe VI's cousin, published an offensive tweet criticizing Letizia in which she wrote that she "has shown her true face", referring to her public quarrel with Doña Sofía in 2018 in the cathedral of Palma.

Since then, she has not been seen together in public again.

In the rest of the family photo, with representatives of all the European royal houses, Mary and Federico of Denmark have completed it (he is one of the six godparents of the young princess Ingrid's baptism);

Queen Mathilde of Belgium;

the kings Guillermo and Máxima of Holland;

Princess Victoria of Sweden (also godmother of the honoree) together with her husband, Daniel, and her two children, Estela and Óscar;

Marta Luisa from Norway with her partner, the shaman Durek Verret, in the first public act since they announced their engagement on June 7;

the Hereditary Grand Dukes of Luxembourg, Guillaume of Luxembourg and Countess Stéphanie Lannoy, Marie-Chantal and Pablo of Greece…

Princess Ingrid has donned the Boucheron Pear Circle tiara for the occasion, her first time wearing a crown and her birthday present;

a jewel with crimped pearls, intertwined diamonds and set in platinum.

When the time comes, she will become the first woman to be queen of Norway in 600 years, although before that it will be the turn of her father, Haakon.

In addition to the gala dinner and other official acts, which have generated great expectation in their country, the Norwegian royal house has distributed three official portraits of the young woman, where she also wears the tiara, distinctions such as the insignia of the Order of the House from Her Majesty that her grandfather gave her on her 18th birthday and an Alberta Ferretti dress that her mother Mette-Marit wore in one of the first official acts after announcing her engagement to Haakon.

On Thursday night there was already a first celebration in Deichman Bjoervika, the beautiful Oslo public library.

An event attended by 200 guests including members of the three powers of the State and civil personalities, as well as a group of 25 young people from Princess Ingrid's generation.

Hundreds of onlookers came to the Parliament of the Norwegian capital to see and applaud the young princess in the act that took place on Thursday.

A welcome that left Ingrid from Norway visibly moved.
