Thailand announced new entry-level epidemic prevention measures. Tourists who have been fully vaccinated against the new coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) since May will not need to undergo nucleic acid testing before boarding or after arrival.

From July 1, foreign tourists will no longer need to apply for a Thailand Pass, but they will still have to bring proof of vaccination for inspection.

Foreign tourists entering Thailand no longer need to apply for a Thai pass and purchase new coronary pneumonia insurance, but they still need to hold a vaccination certificate; passengers who have not been fully vaccinated need to hold a negative PCR or rapid screening test certificate.

The Thailand Epidemic Control Center (CCSA) announced on the 17th that from July 1st, inbound passengers will be exempted from applying for a Thai pass, but those who have been vaccinated must present a certificate of vaccination; those who have not been vaccinated must present a professional rapid antigen test negative result certificate.

Those who do not hold the above documents can still enter the country, but they must undergo a professional rapid antigen test upon arrival.

In addition, some areas can adopt the principle of voluntary not wearing masks, but masks are still required in indoor and crowded places such as concerts. Events with more than 2,000 people need to apply in advance, and everyone must wear masks at all times.

Entertainment venues such as bars and nightclubs will be "relaxed" in June and can be open until midnight and in July until 2 a.m.

Except for some high-risk venues, all venues no longer need to carry out temperature testing.

Eligible passengers traveling to Thailand from May 1 no longer need to undergo PCR tests before boarding and upon arrival, but they still need to hold a vaccine passport and a new crown pneumonia insurance with an insured amount of US$10,000 in order to apply for a Thai pass.

From June 1st, Thai tourists no longer need to apply for a Thai pass, but foreign tourists still need to apply.
