The federal government is apparently considering a new “O to O” rule for the mask requirement.
Berlin – The number of infections from Covid-19 is increasing again, RKI, WHO and the government are struggling to come up with new regulations for the fall.
The federal government is apparently considering introducing a new mask requirement in the fight against Corona.

, there could be a general obligation to wear masks from October to Easter this year.

The newspaper learned from government circles that the “O to O” rule, which is otherwise more familiar from changing tires, came into play in the talks on a new infection protection law.
Part of the traffic light coalition has therefore campaigned for the wearing of mouth and nose protection in closed rooms to be reintroduced during this period.
Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) had recently recommended wearing a mask voluntarily.
The Federal Chancellery described such an obligation as one of several possible regulations.
Before making a concrete decision, they want to wait for an outstanding report from the interdisciplinary committee of experts.
A final decision has not yet been made.
