A single machine for the large bathing area could not be enough at peak times.

At the moment, pointing to an app doesn't help either.

The fact that this is "Easypark" is not yet signposted, but it should be made up for later.

Since this week, the parking space at the Oberndorf bathing area has been managed fully automatically - with a camera and machine.

The system is still stuck, but users don't have to worry.

Martin Zerhoch from the Rentamt Seefeld speaks of the pilot phase.

Oberndorf –

Gone are the days when the friendly elderly gentleman at the entrance to the parking lot of the Oberndorf bathing area personally billed for the ticket.

With the change of tenants and the modernization and expansion of the range of sanitary facilities, owner Graf zu Toerring-Jettenbach has now introduced fully automatic parking space management.

Martin Zerhoch from the Count's Rent Office had already announced this in April.

A camera captures the license plate at the entrance.

Before exiting, this identifier must then be entered at the pay station.

He calculates how high the fee is: the first 60 minutes are always free, from the second hour it costs two euros, from the fourth hour six euros.

The daily rate applies between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

If you stay overnight after midnight, you pay two euros per hour from the second hour, up to a maximum of 16 euros.

This rule applies until 9 a.m.

If you don't want to queue at the only machine in the car park, you can also pay by app.

"But no one knows which app," says Helmut Gall angrily.

The inning was at the swim on Thursday night.

Exceptionally by car, otherwise he drives a Vespa.

When he wanted to pay, there was a long queue in front of the machine.

That's why he wanted to check out with his cell phone.

However, he searched in vain on the websites of the system provider and the recreation area association.

"I got really annoyed then," says Gall - because he couldn't find the app and because there is only one machine for the entire parking lot.

"Now imagine a thunderstorm coming up and hundreds of people wanting to go home at the same time," he says.

Zerhoch admits that there are still teething problems.

The signs referring to the "Easypark" app to be used were still missing.

At the beginning, however, nobody had to reckon with the warning money of 40 euros,

if billing is not correct.

"We'll make adjustments again," he promises.

Maybe set up more machines.

The system accommodates early and late swimmers from the area, since as a rule none of them stays longer than an hour.

These 60 minutes are always free.

Even if you want to jump into the water or go to the kiosk during the day, you don't have to pay if you can find a space in the car park, which fills up quickly when the weather is nice.

The system automatically recognizes when someone has been there for less than an hour.

Check out is not necessary.
