The national campaign for early detection of cancer will be launched in Lattakia governorate on Sunday, and it is the second station of the campaign after Tartous governorate for the early detection of 3 types of cancer, which are “cervical, breast and prostate” and will continue until July 25, 2022.

The National Cancer Control Program said in a statement today that the campaign begins with receiving citizens wishing to receive medical examinations for early detection of cancer from 8:30 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon, while some private centers will start receiving patients at 10 in the morning.

The national campaign for early detection of cancer will provide free medical examinations and analyzes to all families in public hospitals, fixed health centers, some clinics and private centers, as well as mobile medical units in all health areas in the governorate.

To ensure the implementation of the campaign's objectives in providing the necessary medical services to all patients wishing to check on their health, 4 mobile medical units have been allocated, which will be moved to rural units and remote places of residence.

The number of health centers participating in the campaign is 19, including 9 public hospitals and medical centers, and 4 private medical centers, where medical consumables and transportation for registered people in remote areas were secured in cooperation with public and private government agencies.
