Rottach-Egern – In 2023, the Rottach-Egern volunteer fire brigade is celebrating its 150th birthday.
This should be celebrated in a big way at the Birkenmoos sports grounds.
The Rottach-Egern volunteer fire brigade would like to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2023.
The location has already been decided, as was recently announced at the municipal council meeting.
In order for everything to go as planned, a decision by the members of the committee was required.
“The history of the Rottach-Egern volunteer fire brigade began on February 16, 1873, when the incumbent mayor Josef Oettl invited to a founding meeting in the Bartlmä (Bachmair) tavern.
A crowd of Rottach citizens had formed around him, who are to be regarded as the founding members of our fire brigade,” can be read on the Floriansjünger website.
As incumbent Christian Köck informed at the most recent meeting of the municipal council, 2023 marks the 150th anniversary of the Rottach-Egern volunteer fire brigade.
This should be celebrated for several days.
There is already a date: from Thursday, May 18th to Sunday, May 22nd.
The comrades already have a location in mind where the festival is to take place: the Birkenmoos sports grounds.
In order to implement this plan for the anniversary, a resolution was needed from the municipal councils at the most recent meeting.
They unanimously agreed to the proposal without objection or questioning.
An anniversary program is planned, the mayor explained.
He did not go into specific points in it.
Further information on the Rottach-Egern volunteer fire brigade and the fire brigade association is available online at www.ffrottach-egern.de.
There is also a countdown to see how long it will be until the anniversary celebration in 2023.
