The containers for Ukraine refugees that were set up on Augsburger Strasse around three months ago have now been moved into.
27 people have been living here since the beginning of June.
Germering – A donor who does not want to be named provided the city with 40 containers for refugees shortly after the start of the Ukraine war.
Immediately next to the BRK rescue station on Augsburger Straße, they were set up on two floors as possible accommodation.
Previously used as offices
The containers were previously used as temporary offices, so they only had to be slightly converted and set up.
The connections to the water and electricity networks also had to be set up before the buildings could be occupied.
Refugees from Ukraine have been living in the accommodation since the beginning of June.
As reported by Ines Roellecke, spokeswoman for the district office responsible for accommodation, 27 people were accommodated in the container.
Most of them are children, namely 21, who live with their six mothers on Augsburger Strasse.

As Ines Roellecke further reports, money is available to the Ukrainians within the framework of the so-called Asylum Seekers Benefits Act.
They also have to take care of their families themselves.
In other words, you have to shop and cook.
There is no catering or any other type of supply at the facility.
To the supermarket
To get to the nearest supermarket, the residents only have to get on a bus that stops right in front of the accommodation and goes to Untere Bahnhofstrasse.
You can also walk to the GEP shopping center.
According to Roellecke, volunteers from the Germeringer Helpers' Circle are on hand to provide the necessary help and support to cope with everyday life.
According to the spokeswoman, there is also a connection to Caritas.
In addition, the refugees from the Ukraine are looked after by the caretaker of the district.
According to the district office, in addition to the 27 residents of the accommodation on Augsburger Straße, 35 refugees from Ukraine are currently being accommodated in the Polariom.
In addition, there are numerous people who have found shelter with private individuals and who escaped the war.
