The weather outside is getting warmer as we get closer to July and August, but it is still comfortable weather for outdoor trips, picnics and field trips, as long as you find shady places to rest.

And speaking of space, rest and picnics - you can't give up good coffee either.

We have recruited Chef Osher Eidelman who will prepare for you 4 types of coffee made by Landover for preparation in the field.

After you have learned all the tricks, all that is left is to choose the right route for you:

Udim Reserve

The reserve was trained about two years ago as a charming hiking site around the old quarry of Moshav Udim.

Observation sheds were set up for birds and nature lovers, as well as explanatory signs about the different vegetation that grew around the lake that was created there.

And for the benefit of the hikers there is an 800-meter-long circular route that passes between coveted bags along the quarry.

Next to them you can spread out a mat in the park and indulge in hot and steaming coffee.

Please note on Saturday - the entrance gate to the reserve is closed by the residents of the moshav, the vehicles must be parked and walk a few hundred meters to the beginning of the route.

The Sharon Trail

The trail has only recently been re-marked by the Nature Conservation Society's trail marking team, and is now passing through some of the most important sites in the north-central part of the State of Israel.

The length of the new route is about 60 km and it can be used as an alternative route to the Israel Trail for those who prefer to walk

in the special landscape of the Sharon, instead of walking along the beach, as it connects the Alexander River and the Yarkon River.

You can only walk on parts of the trail. One of the most beautiful and interesting is the section from Kadima Forest to Tel Mond: open landscapes, lovely corners and also local history. This is a linear route that is about 7 km long.

The first vehicle will park in the western parking lot of Kadima Forest (arrival from Road 562 and on the "Forest Road" road, which comes from the Aloni Kadima Reserve).

The collection vehicle will wait at the Lord's House in Tel Mond, next to the Girls' Square (arrival from Harishonim Street).

Horbat Samara - Nahal Taninim

A lesser-known hiking trail than the common one of the Alexander River featuring an Ottoman ruin that served as a watermelon warehouse for the Samara family.

In the places you will find picnic tables and play facilities for children.

Also the spring bloom that is currently at an all-time high in the area.

The ruin is located in the area of Alexander Garden - not far from the estuary to the Mediterranean Sea.

A mosaic from the Roman period and winepresses from the Byzantine period were found there, and it is located on the Israel Trail and the Sharon Trail.

Yakum Park

Sha'ar Poleg Reserve, or as it is popularly known as the "Yakum Reserve", is located between Yakum and Moshav Udim in Sharon.

First the route in the dirt parking lot near the "Dor" gas station, then enter on foot or by car to Yakum Park.

The marked hiking trails in the reserve are located south of Nahal Poleg, where there are also steep kurkar cliffs, a variety of views and spectacular natural vegetation depending on the seasons.

Then, descend the path carefully to the over 4,000-year-old artificial breach in the Poleg River.

Ups and downs along the route that is not blessed with much shade, but has a small lakefront and a small eucalyptus grove that can be a perfect place to stop for coffee.

Nahal Hadera

Park The park was established several years ago and was renovated courtesy of the Municipality of Hadera and also offers hikers and families an easy hiking route to the mouth of Nahal Hadera to the Mediterranean Sea, about which the poet Natan Yonatan wrote the song "Beaches Sometimes".

In addition, it is a picnic site for families with tables and toilets.

There is a monument in memory of the poet Nahum (Nachcha) Heiman who composed the song.

You can also walk to the Violin Bridge that crosses the two banks of the Hadera River and from there continue another mile and a half along the Israel Trail to meet the Heftziba site - the Heftziba Shin Orchard Site, which is currently used as an IEC study site.
