Al-Hasakah City Council launched a new sanitation project in cooperation with the Solid Waste Management Project of the United Nations Development Program with the aim of continuing to collect and remove garbage.
The head of the city council, Adnan Khajo, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the project duration is four months, during which 60 cubic meters of garbage and dust in the city’s streets will be collected and transported to the temporary dumps on a daily basis, where the cleaning workshops start their work from 7 am to 11 pm Then the garbage was transported in the temporary collection centers outside the city within the framework of cooperation with the branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
It is noteworthy that the council is implementing, at the same time, switching sewage connections in the city center in order to address the bottlenecks and blockages in the network.
