Employees at an Apple store in Towson, Maryland, voted Saturday to form a union, a first for the tech giant in the United States.
Most employees were in favor of joining the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, also known as IAM.
The final vote count was 65-33, according to CNBC.
The store, located just outside Baltimore, is the first Apple location in the United States to unionize.

The IAM described Saturday's vote as historic, at a time when workers seek and demand representation, often unsuccessfully, in the tech world.
"I applaud the courage shown by Towson Apple Store employees in achieving this historic victory
," IAM International President Robert Martinez Jr. said in a statement.
