A touch of nostalgia wafts through the Boston Garden.

The German globetrotters are back: Merkur employee Andreas Mayr and fellow journalist Len Werle are once again traveling to the NBA basketball league finals.

The last episode of her diary from Boston.

Boston - consolation prizes are for losers.

But Boston has earned his very badly.

With that, we ceremoniously presented the 2022 NBA Finals Host Cup. Admittedly, the selection was limited to two cities, and beating San Francisco wasn't a three-pointer from the halfway line either.

On the other hand, this city blew us away.

That was more than a kiss on the first date, we're still that tipsy about the Celtics and their home.

For that, back to the beginning.

Anyone who enters an arena for the first time feels like they are looking for an apartment.

Location?

At Boston 1A.

The Garden is practically the heart of the city, a few minutes' walk from the port.

Not for nothing is it said everywhere: bleed green, we bleed green.

At the end of this series, which Golden State won 4-2, the hearts of all the green fans bleed most of all.

Now they're not used to losing in Boston, especially against the tech millionaires from San Francisco, who like to verbally dish out and even more when the opponent is helplessly crawling on the ground.

In the Garden in Boston, of course, there is also the gust of nostalgia that sweeps through practically every corner.

They have embedded screws in the parquet floor for decoration.

Up on the ninth floor (if the stubborn elevator even wants to go that far), they've set up images of their legends.

That nobody forgets them.

The Garden is a vintage style penthouse apartment.

You have to be able and willing to afford it.

A culinary banger: a lobster for zero dollars.

We've collected a few ideas on how brokers should market their dream property.

"Boston: America, but in nice." Or something like: "Boston: Where you can get a scoop of ice cream for 6 dollars." That's how life is in these expensive happy hipster cities, although that's only with the hipsters here partly true.

You tend to look for them on the west coast.

The Bostonian drinks, eats and officiates his city.

You'll find him in the pub, the pizzeria, and of course playing baseball.

Steep thesis: the Red Sox outfit is like traditional costumes in Bavaria.

And that's not the only parallel.

They're a proud bunch up in New England, but they're also brilliant hosts.

One shouldn't say too many bad things about the NBA Finals, but as far as food goes, we've had quite a few adventures.

In Oakland, we regularly puzzled over what we were actually eating.

In any case, it was seldom what was announced.

How do you want to give praise now?

It doesn't get any better than Boston.

Maybe, maybe - this is nasty now, we know - the Celtics have been more focused on cooking these days.

A brief outline of the delicacies: steak, chicken, fried vegetables, salad, baked potatoes, ice cream bar, dips, spinach, rice and (as a highlight) lobster, yes really fresh lobster, what a blast.

All for the sensational price of zero dollars.

From a culinary point of view, the Celtics are light years away from Golden State - and even in San Francisco they have been dishing up a lot this year.

If the last impression was that we were only here to eat, that is of course apologies.

There was also basketball.

Real good basketball.

Stephen Curry they like to call her chef in the States.

Holy Cannoli, the man has conjured up a meal, while passing by the Celtics fans crispy and even sizzled.

A bar had the fun of writing on a board that it thought Curry's wife was a talentless cook.

He took it personally and fried the Celtics.

Poor Boston.

At least we had our fun.
