The left-wing leader, Gustavo Petro, who obtained 40% of the votes on May 29, faces the billionaire businessman Rodolfo Hernández, who with 28% took second place against the right-wing candidate, Federico Gutiérrez .
Although in these three weeks of the campaign Hernández has managed to get many votes from sectors of the right, who were previously with Gutiérrez, it is not yet known with certainty if his growth will be enough to defeat Petro.
The left-wing candidate has received the support of politicians such as Antanas Mockus and Alejandro Gaviria.
The latest polls, published a week ago, predict a technical tie between the two candidates.
