The formation Gitane Akkrobat inspired with world music in the Furtner in Freising.

The audience loved it.

Freising

– Stevie Wonder and Django Reinhardt – does that even go together?

Yes - but only with the trio "Gitane Akkrobat", which really heated up the Furtner audience.

The relatively new formation from Moosburg understands wonderfully how to use a songbook that goes deep into the heart and transforms every venue into a magical Parisian backyard.

full hall

The weather was perfect – but the Furtner Hall was packed.

On Stage: "Gitane Akkrobat", which sounds mysterious.

The spectators were not disappointed, that was already clear from the opener "Bossa Dorado" - a sound that is second to none, which immediately goes into the heart chambers and into the legs.

Roland Pöhlmann on the accordion, Andy Mayr on the guitar and Stefan Telser on the double bass - that's all it takes for musical happiness and a moment of awakening, that it doesn't even need singing for this soulful sound.

Variable sound

After the complex gem "Home" then the jazz smash "Cold duck time", brought to the stage so dynamically and powerfully that the people stopped in front of the Furtner to listen.

The sound cannot really be classified, a bit of jazz, a portion of bossa nova, a lot of joie de vivre - world music in the best nuances, brought to the stage with wonderful vitality by the extremely high level of the musicians, all of whom have helped shape countless formations in the past.

Special pulse

Django Reinhardt had to be there, of course, and here too the trio proved they could bring their own heartbeat to Swing 39, only to sketch an enchanting homage to Stevie Wonder just minutes later.

The musicians themselves are calm, but their sound goes far beyond the interpretation - every song immediately becomes a Gitane Akkrobat work, unmistakable from the first note.

That's why the formation isn't good for casual listening pleasure.

High concentration

The trio demands concentration, because the songs shine very brightly through their complexity.

The song "Can't find my way home" by the former supergroup around Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton went through the roof at the Furtner - but the best was yet to come.

As an encore, the surprise couldn't have been greater: "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin as a trio interpretation with accordion.

And?

"Kashmir" was brought onto the stage by the three musicians with such a dense sound that it would not have surprised anyone if Robert Plant had suddenly sung along.

Without a doubt: he would have loved it, this unique interpretation of his song.
