Because in addition to having to manage their growth crisis, going from a modest battalion of 17 deputies to a garrison of 83 parliamentarians, the Insoumis will have to work to animate and keep united a Nupes parliamentary intergroup which will associate, in addition to them, the ecologist group (27 deputies), the socialist group (26 deputies) and the possible communist group: with 13 deputies, the PC will have to count on reinforcements to reach the required threshold of 15 deputies.

If the Nupes can rely on its common legislative program, it has already been agreed that on the points of disagreement (for example on nuclear power), each deputy, and a fortiori each group, will retain their freedom to vote.
Before the second round, Jean-Luc Mélenchon was optimistic about the ability of Nupes to last: "I think my allies have already taken a liking to it", he explained in Le Parisien on June 14.
“It will take flexibility and that the Insoumis keep their promise to respect each sensitivity”, already warns a PS executive.
A first test, very scrutinized, will concern the distribution of deputies in the committees, or the choice of the post of vice-president of the Assembly and the post of quaestor which return to the main opposition force.
But for the designation of the very strategic presidency of the Finance Committee, which in the texts must go to an opposition deputy - and in practice to the first opposition group, the Insoumis will have to bow on paper very little… in the face of the National Rally.
With 85 deputies, the RN has become, according to the latest counts, the first opposition party at the Palais-Bourbon, ahead of LFI.
