After a record abstention (52.49%) during the first round of legislative elections, will the French mobilize in favor of the second round?
At noon, participation stood at 18.99% this Sunday.
This is a little higher than last week, since this rate was 18.43%.
For comparison, in 2017 the noon turnout for the second round was 17.75%.
Last Sunday, three hours before the closing of polling stations in major cities, the turnout was 39.42% at 5 p.m.

In Paris, at noon, the turnout was 10.81%.
A little better than in Seine-Saint-Denis (8.88%, the highest abstention in the whole of France), less than in Hauts-de-Seine (12%) and Essonne (12.65%) , and substantially identical to Val-de-Marne (10.90%).
As in the first round, Lot is the department that voted the most at noon (29.05%), ahead of Corrèze (28.50%) and Dordogne (28.36%).
Last Sunday, only 47.51% of French people registered on the electoral lists voted, according to the complete results of the Ministry of the Interior.
This is less than in all previous legislative elections under the Fifth Republic: 48.7% in 2017, 57.2% in 2012, 60.4% in 2007, 64.4% in 2002, or even 67.9 % in 1997.
