Lying on a stretcher and secured with cables: Documentation of the dramatic rescue of the father and daughter who fell into the well

The father and his 4-year-old daughter fell during a trip to a water cistern 15 meters deep, located in the orchard area between Pardes Hanna and Hadera.

The documentation of the incident shows the rescue efforts of the two by the crews who were called to the scene.

This morning they are still hospitalized.

At Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera, the father and daughter who fell yesterday (Saturday) into a cistern in the orchard area between Pardes Hanna and Hadera are still hospitalized.

The 4-year-old girl's condition remains moderate and the father's condition is mild.

In a new documentation of the incident released today, the dramatic rescue efforts of the two from the pit are seen by the fire and rescue forces called to the scene.

In the video, the father and daughter are seen lying on a stretcher of rescue teams.

They are connected by cables through which they are pulled to the ground at the end of hours of effort.

The two have a helmet on their heads and are secured by firefighters to ensure their safe rescue from the well.

The incident took place when the family members, a father, his daughter and his son, residents of Pardes Hanna, went on a nature walk on Saturday afternoon yesterday when the four-year-old suddenly climbed the well and fell.

The father climbed after her, and began to descend on an iron ladder installed in the well.

He managed to reach it and picked it up in his arms and started to climb up, but the ladder was rusty and during the ascent, about half the height, the rusty iron ladder broke and he too fell in without being able to climb back.

Apparently, they fell on jerkins at the bottom and may have thus survived a more serious injury.

The five-year-old boy who was with them and did not fall into the pit began to walk down the path to call for help until he came across more hikers and told them what had happened and they called and called rescue and rescue forces.

After being rescued by firefighters, they were transferred to MDA care.
