President Bashar al-Assad today accepted the credentials of Waheed Mubarak Sayyar as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Syrian Arab Republic.
President al-Assad received Ambassador Sayar and exchanged talks with him on a number of topics and issues of concern to the two brotherly countries, wishing him success in his mission.
The credential presentation ceremony was attended by Dr. Faisal Miqdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Mansour Azzam, Minister of Presidential Affairs.
The ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain was received and farewelled at the People's Palace in the usual ceremonies.
