The Russian Defense Ministry announced that more than 50 Ukrainian generals and officers were killed in a Kalibr missile strike targeting a command center in the Dnipropetrovsk region in southeastern Ukraine.
Ministry spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov said in a press briefing today on the outcome of the military operation in Ukraine during the past 24 hours that high-precision Kalibr missiles fired from the sea hit the headquarters of the Ukrainian forces near the village of Shiroka Dacha in the Dnepropetrovsk region, at a time when A working meeting of the leaders of the (Alexandria) strategic operational group is held, which resulted in the killing of more than 50 generals and officers of the Ukrainian armed forces, including representatives of the General Staff, the leadership of the (Kakhovka) group, the air attack forces and the formations operating on the Nikolaev and Zaporozhye axes.
He pointed out that a high-precision, long-range (Caliber) missile strike also led to the destruction of 10 155mm howitzers (M777) and about 20 combat armored vehicles provided by the West to the Kyiv regime.
He stated that high-precision missiles launched from the air hit a train carrying personnel, weapons and equipment of a Ukrainian brigade that reached the fighting area in Donbass, killing more than 100 soldiers and destroying 30 tanks and armored vehicles.
Konashenkov pointed out that at dawn today, about 200 militants, including foreign mercenaries, were eliminated and two Grad rocket launchers, 10 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers were destroyed in the Seledovo region of the Donetsk Republic.
He stated that Russian aviation destroyed four depots of missile, artillery and artillery ammunition in Donetsk and a launch pad for the Buk M1 anti-aircraft missile system in Lugansk. .
He pointed out that Russian air defenses shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft in the Nikolaev region, and a strike by the "Iskander" tactical missile system on the territory of the Kharkov Tank Repair Factory resulted in the destruction of two "Uragan" missile launchers.
According to him, the strikes of the Russian air force, artillery and missiles in one day eliminated more than 400 Ukrainian Nazis and destroyed 10 tanks and other armored vehicles, 11 pieces of field artillery, 11 rocket launchers and 28 special vehicles.
In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that the offensive in the direction of Severodonetsk is progressing successfully, and that the People's Police units of the Luhansk Republic, with the support of Russian forces, liberated the village of Mytyolkino, and that some units of the Ukrainian forces began to leave the combat zone due to low morale, lack of ammunition and lack of support.
In a similar statement, the ministry said that Su-25 fighters of the Ukrainian Air Force yesterday attacked the positions of the Ukrainian forces in the village of Shirokoyi in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
