The drivers of Superbus and Electra Afikim will tomorrow (Monday) once again shut down public transportation in several major cities in the northern and Jerusalem areas, in protest of their terms of employment.
This is the third public transport strike in just about a week, and it will take place during peak traffic hours in the morning.
Drivers are demanding that the Ministry of Transportation and the companies operating public transport commit to improving employment conditions this year.
"The opacity of the state and the operating companies obliges us to continue to strike. We will announce during the week the aggravation of the measures," the "Power for Workers" movement, in which the drivers are unionized, said today.

The strike, which will last from 05:00 to 08:30, will focus on the northern region and the Jerusalem region.
In the north, drivers will shut down the matron in Haifa and the bus traffic in Afula, Migdal Haemek, Tiberias, Beit She'an, Yokneam, Dalit al-Carmel, Isfiya and the Megiddo Regional Council.
In the Jerusalem area, lines will be established between Jerusalem and Mevaseret Zion and settlements in Judea and Samaria, such as Givat Zeev, Kiryat Arba, Ma'ale Adumim, Ariel, Gush Etzion and the Binyamin Regional Council.
The strike comes amid a huge shortage of public transport drivers, which has only intensified in recent years.
Attempts by public transport operators to encourage drivers to sit behind the wheel through relatively generous economic incentives, and even a budget set by the Ministry of Transport, have shattered the reality in which drivers are forced to function, which includes clashes with passengers leading to violence, harsh working conditions and low wages.
