The Likud and religious Zionism will raise the law to a preliminary reading in order to speed up Orbach's decision • Netanyahu may thwart the move for fear that the law will not be passed

MK Nir Orbach's long deliberation is starting to upset opposition members. In a conversation with Israel Today, opposition figures claimed that their patience was running out and that voices were calling for Orbach to be given a decision by passing a law to dissolve the Knesset this week. Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu is likely to thwart the move.

The move to raise the law this week is led by the chairman of the "Religious Zionism" party, Bezalel Smutrich, and the chairman of the Likud faction in the Knesset, Yariv Levin, who want to put Orbach to the test.

As is well known, the fear in the opposition is that if the law falls, it cannot be raised again for half a year.

As mentioned, senior members of the opposition are tired of Orbach's deliberation and they want to bring him to a decision this week.

Opposition groups told Israel Today that "it is time to put an end to Orbach's deliberation. We need to raise the law and see where Orbach's heart is. We will see where he really is. We will see him vote against the dissolution of the Knesset. That way everyone knew what he really wanted."

The Likud says that a final decision has not yet been made.

Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu could frustrate the law, saying it would not pass.
