The signing ceremony of a poetry book and a novel by the young woman Manal Youssef

The young writer of the people of determination, Manal Youssef, presents two new literary productions for her, the first of which is a novel entitled The Wanderer, and the second is a poetry collection entitled Tears of Times, in which she summarizes feelings and sentiments stemming from the love of the homeland and existence.

The signing ceremony for the two editions was hosted by the Tartus Governorate Hall amphitheater, amidst a literary and media presence and a number of interested parties. It included the screening of a documentary film about the writer’s life, literary production, participations and awards, which was shown within the celebration of the Syrian community in the Republic of Czechoslovakia in celebration of the Syrian Culture Day last year.

Rawda Youssef, the writer’s mother, expressed her pride in what her daughter presented and the intellectual creativity she reached despite her suffering. Because of her health condition before she was able to acquire a laptop so that her father brought these books to the publishing house for typesetting and printing, and now, after acquiring the computer, she writes by herself and sends her writings to many newspapers and magazines to be published.

The journalist Haitham Muhammad, who gave an opinion on the literary experience and the numerous articles published in the local and Arab newspapers by the writer Manal, said: She deservedly deserved the description of the miraculous writer and was able to eliminate her suffering and overcome all the difficulties she faced, whether those that constituted an obstacle to her inability to continue her studies or the difficult health condition that she faced. She suffers from it, but she insisted and persisted in reading and navigating in this field to become a writer, and we can say about her the exceptional writer through what she issued of poetry collections, novels and articles published in local and Arab newspapers and won the admiration of many.

In the pages of the 182-page novel The Wandering, issued by the House of Engineering and Literature in Tartous, the writer presents several titles, such as the desert of time, burning memory, and the river of pain and hopes, to tell the story of a homeland in the years of an unjust war that it was subjected to, which the writer and writer Ahlam Ghanem said after providing a critical reading of that novel: The writer Manal carried spiritual sentimental shrines expressing her feelings towards her homeland and summarizing in her a period of spiritual delirium as a result of what she saw of the ugliness of this black world during the global war on Syria, in an attempt to investigate the emotional pain that Syria suffered in its entire geography.

In turn, the journalist and writer Rasha Al-Naqari presented her reading of the poetic book of the writer Manal Dam` Al-Azaman issued by Dar Al-Suwaid in Damascus, which included in its pages of nearly a hundred various sentimental titles, including what remains and approached and my longing for you. Beautiful and calm, expressing her human existence and flirting with wheat, poetry, lover and homeland in simple and understandable language and vocabulary despite sometimes using deep special vocabulary that needs a lot of depth and thought.

It is noteworthy that Manal Youssef is from the village of Suristan in the countryside of Safita and has 12 literary publications, including novels, poetry collections and special texts for cinema, in addition to many articles and posts in Arab and local newspapers.
