VivaTech, the Parisian show for start-ups and tech, welcomed more than 91,000 participants for its sixth edition, its organizers said on Sunday.

A level of attendance nevertheless lower than 2019. If in 2020, it had been canceled due to Covid-19, the show returned in 2021 under cover of a maximum gauge set at 5,000 people.

This year therefore marks the first edition of the event, co-founded by Publicis and the Les Echos-Le Parisien group, without health restrictions.

For this 6th edition, in addition to the 91,000 visitors present, the online audience reached 300,000 visits, that of the VivaTech News channel more than 4.3 million, detail the organizers in a press release.

In total, "these are 400 million people affected and more than 3 billion views on social networks", they estimate, highlighting the "reinforced international dimension" of the show, during which 30 countries were present and 146 nationalities. affected.

More than 2,000 exhibitors made the trip, including 1,800 start-ups, 45% of which were international, and 700 investment funds.

Among the headliners present this year, VivaTech welcomed Changpeng Zhao, the boss of Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange platform, or the former chess champion, the Russian Garry Kasparov.

Emmanuel Macron was also invited;

However, these figures remain worse than in 2019. VivaTech welcomed 124,000 visitors, 13,000 start-ups, including 2,300 exhibitors, and 3,300 investors.

The organizers have already announced the dates for the 7th edition, which will take place from June 14 to 17, 2023.
