After the storm
: The Knesset's Finance Committee today (Monday) approved the granting of a tax benefit to a number of associations, including the "Until Here" association.
As you may recall, several months ago, Knesset members from the left tried to prevent the organization from being approved.
Among the Knesset members who have fought for an organization so far can be found: Chairman of the Finance Committee MK Alex Kushnir, Chairman of the Knesset Committee MK Nir Orbach, Former Minister Bezalel Smutritz, MK Itamar Ben Gvir, MK Amichai Shikli, MK Katie Sheetrit and many others. Left-wing Knesset members supported the proposal.
Section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance, provides tax benefits for donations to non-profit organizations such as "Up to Here".
The section
grants a tax benefit of 35% for each donation made to the association.
In other words, for every NIS 100 donated to it, donors are entitled to a refund of NIS 35.
"Another step in guarding IDF soldiers"
The chairman of the right-wing faction, MK Nir Orbach: "I am very happy that after the difficulties have piled up, the organization 'Up to Here' has returned to the committee today, passed and will receive the benefit it deserves under Article 46."
MK Katie Sheetrit added: "I am outraged that the committee chose to fight on the right and support left-wing organizations since they were absurdly approved, instead of awarding a salary to those who care about the state and fight for it, voters choose to harm them.
"Up to Here" is doing a holy work for the state and we will continue to fight for their rights. "
MK Amichai Shikli said: "The 'so far' organization is responsible for some of the important investigations we have seen here recently, such as the connection between senior members of the RAAM party and Hamas operatives, and the EU's involvement in financing Palestinian takeover of Judea and Samaria."
Gilad But the director general of the organization "Until Here" stated that: "This is another step in protecting IDF soldiers and the State of Israel against those who seek to harm them early in the morning and evening. This is a historic day. ".
At the same time, the committee also approved the Kian Association, which promotes women in the Arab sector.
According to MKs on the right (Shikli, Sheetrit), this association also promotes Nakba-supporting activities.
