Authorities can move thousands of hospital beds, and AsiaWorld-Expo can be reopened within days as needed

Ho emphasized that the HA has not been slack, but will instead improve its response capacity. The authorities have recently instructed each network to make preparations and reserve enough hospital beds to receive patients, so that thousands of hospital beds can be mobilized in a timely manner, so as to reach the beds and other people.

She also revealed that AWE is currently on standby, but it can restart and receive patients within a few days, and the Hong Kong Infection Center in North Lantau can also receive patients in a short period of time.

She also said that various hospitals have formulated a real-name system, which can instantly mobilize manpower to take care of patients.

The HA currently has 7 designated clinics to provide services to those in need. The authorities will also adjust the services based on service needs and outbreak findings.

Ho reiterated that the epidemic is still at an important juncture, and urged the public not to relax and reduce gatherings to reduce the spread.

We hope that the public will abide by the epidemic prevention measures, so that the epidemic can be brought down.
