Police appeal to the public to provide information on the missing man, Guo Zhixian (64).
Last Saturday (18th), after Guo Zhixian left his residence in Meixiu House, Meitian Village, Shatin, there was no news. His family searched all over to no avail. Until 12 noon yesterday (20th), he called the police for help.
It is understood that the police found that his phone signal was finally displayed near Dafeng Au on Ngong Ping Road, Lantau Island. It was suspected that he was missing on the mountain. Rescuers searched all night and found nothing.
Guo Zhixian is about 1.64 meters tall, weighs about 63 kilograms, has a fat build, a face shape, yellow skin and short black hair; he was last seen wearing an orange sweatshirt, light brown vest, black shorts, gray shoes and carrying a black back bag.
Police appeal to anyone who has seen or has information about Guo Zhixian to call 3661 1706 or contact any police station.
According to sources, Guo Nan works as a night shift security guard and lives alone in Meitian Village.
His 67-year-old sister lost contact with him since last Saturday (18th) and called the company to no avail, fearing that he would faint at home, so she called the police for help.
When the police arrived at Guo Nan's residence, they found that the house was empty. After investigation, it was found that he did not go to work on Sunday (19th) night, and the phone signal finally showed that he was located near Dafeng Au, Ngong Ping Road, Lantau Island. He went missing after hiking there. The fire department started a search last night (20th) after receiving a report, but has not been found this morning (21st).
