Agnes Kraus back on tour as Kathl

Ratsch and gossip: As Kathl, Agnes Kraus leads again through Holzkirchen and its local history with its idiosyncratic originals.

"Pack it up again" will soon be shouted through Holzkirchen again: During its guided tours, the Kathl will once again reveal history and stories to make you smile and be amazed from the history of the village of Holzkirchen.
This year the Kathl even gets reinforcements.
Holzkirchen – It's been six years since Agnes Kraus first took the ladder wagon in hand, slipped into the role of Kathl, who had just moved but was well informed, and set out on a foray through Holzkirchen.
Since then, as Kathl, the Munich actress has taken hundreds of people from Holzkirchner and curious people from near and far on her group tours through the “Holzkirchner Gschichtn”, told them about the Paganini cemetery and the lion in the garden, about the well-travelled heroic tenor and about raging conflagrations – true episodes and footnotes from the local history of Holzkirchner.
The Kathl not only gives a historical, but also a lovable human insight into the old wooden churches with their originals.
Now it's time to "pack it up again": From Friday, June 24th, the Kathl will go on tour with small groups again on their "market trips".
Kraus also has a new route in her luggage: the “Rundumadum” market trip around the market square, which is planned for July 24th and October 29th.
And the Kathl gets reinforcement: On the walk there are small plays with which some actors from the Ensemble Federspiel, the Holzkirchner senior theater group, which Kraus directs, bring the past to life.
The game scenes based on Franz Josef Pütz from Tegernsee and teacher Eugen Zeheter from Holzkirchen each last five to ten minutes.
The venues have a historical connection.
The tour participants learn how gold is made and whether the devil had a hand in the well.
The tour ends in Hau's distillery with a small snack.
Similar to how many of the “market trips” end.
The Magentratzerl, which are available during or after the fun excursion, are sponsored by restaurateurs and business people from Holzkirch.
The tour program for this year has grown to include six different tours, in addition to the previous routes “An der Münchner Strasse” (June 24 and September 16), “Am Bahnhofweg” (July 9 and October 15), “Gemma!
Gemma!” (September 24), “When it burns” (October 1 and November 19) and “Once upon a time” for children aged five and over (July 10).
"History never repeats itself," emphasizes Kraus.

Participation costs 17 euros, eight euros for children up to the age of 14, six euros for children and ten euros for adults.
