The theater of the Arab Cultural Center in Aziziyah hosted a concert entitled (Al-Qudud Al-Halabi and Al-Andalusian Muwashshahat) in celebration of the International Music Day.
The ceremony began with the compass of One Thousand and One Nights of Andalusian Muwashahat, followed by Muwashahah Yalail Al-Sab and a group of Mawwail, in addition to Muwashahat on the Maqam of Al-Rast, Al-Hazam and Al-Hijaz, such as I yearn for longing, and O Shadi tunes, and when he seemed to fold, and water the thirst, in addition to my prayer, you owned my heart, and dominated me from the Aleppo Qudoud.
In a statement to SANA's reporter, Jaber Al-Sajour, Director of Aleppo Culture, explained the importance of celebrating World Music Day within the Ministry of Culture's direction to support thought and art, encourage young artistic groups, refine their talents, follow up their creativity, and present their products through cultural platforms. Her artwork is on the scene through a lyrical and musical style that aims to preserve the original Al-Qudud Al-Halabi and the Arabic music library.
The artist Ahmed Al-Qasim, leader of Hazam's choir and ensemble, pointed to the importance of holding such artistic activities, especially in the city of Aleppo, which includes many artistic heritages from Muwashahat, Taqatiq and Qadoud, pointing out that the name of the band is after the eastern musical shrine of Hazam, which is of the same type as the maqam of Al-Rust and Al-Hijaz.
Among the members of the band, the artist, Mohammed Rawad Al-Jisry, who plays the Qanun instrument, referred to the aesthetics of these artistic celebrations, which revive the oriental heritage due to its creativity and originality, especially what characterizes the city of Aleppo in terms of art.
