Approval of securing an independent electrical outlet to feed the switching centers feeding the wells of Jaramana water pumps

The Presidency of the Council of Ministers approved the recommendation of the Economic Committee, which includes ratifying the contract between the General Corporation for Electricity Transmission and Distribution and the Military Construction Implementation Corporation, the Central Electricity Branch, to provide, install and implement a 20 kV outlet with 7 transmission centers and expand a transmission center from 100 to 200 kVA to secure An independent outlet for feeding the switching centers feeding the wells of Jaramana water pumps in the Damascus countryside governorate.

The director of the General Establishment for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Damascus, Engineer Samer Al-Hashemi, explained in a statement to SANA that the implementation of the line will positively affect the water situation of the residents of Jaramana, as the electrical supply after the implementation of the line will be around the clock, while currently the electrical supply to the pumps reaches about 10 hours.

Al-Hashemi pointed out that the project will bring benefits to the Ministry of Electricity by redistributing the electricity currently allocated to other than feeding the wells, indicating that there are some matters that will be the responsibility of the Corporation, such as installing wells operating panels.
