Today, the Cooperative Agricultural Bank in As-Suwayda began disbursing the first batch of the values of the wheat crop delivered by farmers to the grain receiving centers.
The Director of the Cooperative Agricultural Bank in Sweida, Engineer Naseem Hudaifa, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the value of the first batch amounts to 82 million Syrian pounds, and it is being disbursed in an easy way to farmers without delay, pointing out that the necessary liquidity is available to disburse new payments in the coming days according to the tables received with the names of those entitled from the grain receiving center This is after deducting the debt owed to the bank, if any.
Hudaifa pointed out that the pace of exchange is related to the quantities of wheat delivered to the grain receiving center, which is expected to gradually increase over the next few days as harvesting operations continue and the harvest is received.
The Cooperative Agricultural Bank and its branches in As-Suwayda had opened more than one window to speed up the exchange of wheat crop values, with an electronic program linking the grain office and the bank to read the lists received electronically via the barcode.
