After imposing bitcoin on his fellow citizens against their will as the official currency, the president of El Salvador is trying to calm their anxieties for their savings.
In a tweet in Spanish and English, published on Sunday, the very authoritarian 40-year-old head of state, Nayib Bukele, reminds them that
"patience is the key"
, promising them that their investment is
"safe"
and that it will
would
"grow immensely".
