Brits prepare for 'historic' rail strike

This is the first big salvo of social warning to the Johnson government.

The British are preparing to face a three-day rail strike announced as "historic", the largest in 30 years and the major privatizations of the sector.

From this Tuesday, some 40,000 employees of 13 rail operators will start this protest movement on wages and jobs.

Tuesday is expected to be the toughest day, with the strike affecting the London Underground along with all rail lines across the country.

The movement will resume Thursday then Saturday, but transport will be disrupted all week.

The British were asked not to travel during these dark days.

Chaos is announced, and the government does not hesitate to brandish the cost, while recalling that the sector benefited from 16 billion pounds of subsidies during the pandemic.
