Following a criminal investigation conducted by the Green Police of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, a pesticide company was convicted of negligence and leaving toxic substance in the playground in a kindergarten in the South.
The Magistrate's Court in Petah Tikva fined the company NIS 30,000.
The ruling stated that the exterminators exterminated without a proper license, and used a pesticide that did not comply with the provisions set forth in the label.
As stated, the Magistrate's Court in Petah Tikva recently convicted the pest control company "Sdot OR Pest Control Solutions" for illegal pest control.

According to the indictment, which was filed in court in February 2021 against the company, its managers and an exterminator employed by them, during the month of December 2018, the exterminator carried out pest control in a kindergarten in Moshav Zeitan.
The exterminator kept the pesticide in an empty box of baby milk substitute, and at the end of the extermination left it with the pesticide in the playground in the kindergarten.
The next morning, the children found the Materna box and took out the pesticide.
At the last moment, the kindergarten teacher noticed what was happening and pulled the pesticide out of their hands.
The children were referred for a medical examination, and it was found that they were not harmed.
During the investigation, it became clear that the exterminator did not have the type of license required for the pesticide in the kindergarten and that the defendants did not report to the Registrar of Exterminators what had happened.
The company was accused of employing a person in carrying out a pesticide without a license appropriate to the type of pesticide;
Use of a pesticide not in accordance with the instructions given on its label;
Breach of reporting obligation;
An act of recklessness and negligence.
All defendants admitted the facts of the indictment.
A hearing on the arguments for punishment in the matter of the executives and the exterminator, scheduled for February 2023.
