The date for the new edition has been set: this year there will be the Wolfratshauser Wirtefest again.

Wolfratshausen – There is good news: The Wolfratshausen Wirtefest is experiencing a new edition this year.

15 hosts have already confirmed, reveals the municipal culture manager Marlene Schretzenmaier when asked by our newspaper.

On Saturday, September 17th, there will again be plenty of live music to celebrate in the Loisachstadt.

Culture manager confirms: Wolfratshauser Wirtefest will take place

After the last Wirtefest in autumn 2019, the corona virus unfortunately set the tone.

The lockdowns destroyed all plans for 2020, and the city pulled the ripcord last year too.

The diffuse occurrence of infection and strict hygiene regulations led to the cancellation of the event.

"The worst-case scenario is getting the same image as Ischgl," cultural manager Schretzenmaier pointed out at the time.

"One person is enough who is unknowingly infected and infects many others."

Wolfratshauser Wirtefest: Details will be presented promptly

But now there is optimism, "although we have to hurry up a bit - keyword advertising -" says Schretzenmaier with a view to the date in mid-September.

In her own words, she wants to explain the details at the meeting of the City Council's culture committee this Thursday evening.

The basic concept will not be changed: "Each innkeeper is his own organiser," explains the culture manager.

On September 17, she relies on "a colorful mixed program".

A stage is set up on Marienplatz, there too visitors can enjoy music (from the "Deezl" formation), food and drinks.

Speaking of which: "There is no admission fee to visit the hosts' festival," emphasizes Schretzenmaier.

It stands on the point of view: "The landlord is a huge chance for Wolfratshausen and the restaurateurs." It starts at 5 p.m., the official end is heralded at midnight.

Landlords who would still like to be part of the party can now send an email to kultur@wolfratshausen.de.

With a shuttle bus from location to location

So that the guests don't miss anything, they can be chauffeured from location to location with a shuttle bus.

Everything worth knowing will be summarized on a flyer - according to Schretzenmaier, the entire program will be presented at a press conference in the near future.

The fact that a big festival is opening in the state capital of Munich on September 17 does not cause sleepless nights for the culture manager.

She says: “Summer holidays are one week beforehand” – and scheduling the Wirtefest at the end of September/beginning of October would be a risk, not least in view of the expected weather.

The mass is "guaranteed cheaper" than at the Oktoberfest

Schretzenmaier is in good spirits: the people in Munich's commuter belt presumably deliberately avoided the Theresienwiese on the first Wiesn weekend.

For the alternative, now the third Wolfratshauser Wirtefest, not only speaks the fact that the mass beer is guaranteed to be cheaper for us, "says Schretzmaier with a wink.
