In recent years there has been a significant increase in interest in tarot cards.

Vogue noted that since 2019, the search for the words "tarot cards" in Google has increased by 78 percent.

The well-known card company us games claims that since the beginning of the corona epidemic, card printing has doubled. These are just two examples of a figure that can no longer be ignored - the tarot is on the rise.

So let's settle the facts for a moment - the tarot did not go anywhere.

Since the 20th century cards have been an integral part of human culture.

Thousands of artists are reproducing the cards.

People research tarot, buy cards, learn their secrets and there are endless approaches and methods that are kept for decades.

Celebrities have always loved tarot and mystical approaches.

Kim Kardashian

,

Leslie Mann

and

Kate Hudson

have said in the past that they are completely interested.

Insider reports that

Miranda is cold , too

, And even Snapshot has been helped by Tarot consulting.

It is also possible to mention a celeb that some of us admired -

Dr. Carl Jung

, a student and successor of Freud, who conquered our minds without a single Instagram post.

Perhaps one of the reasons for the sudden growth is that at least at the moment the witch community is reclaiming and adopting all conceivable teachings to restore the sorcerer to his prestige and ignite the spark of practical spirituality.

However, the Washington Post reports that tarot cards do not remain in the hands of new (or old) witches but are also common today as an integral part of yoga classes, emotional therapy sessions and coaching.

By and large, the cards are undergoing a super-chic modern transformation.

The founder of Kickstarter claims that nearly $ 21 million has been raised in recent years for tarot-related projects.

In addition, a survey conducted by Immarker SEO revealed that in the last four years there has been an increase in the search for the word "tarot" in Israel and in various countries around the world: the average has risen in Israel from 33,000 times a month to 40,000.

Same in the US and Spain: In the US the search word increased from 256,000 to 300,000 searches per month, and in Spain it increased from 95,000 searches per month to 110,000 searches.

But what does this tell us?

First of all it shows us that cards have amazing adaptive abilities, that is, it is a tool that adapts itself to times, periods, personalities, genders and any cultural upheaval.

The cards are very flexible so they take the test of time in walking.

The squatters will always say that it's just nonsense and nonsense, but if so - why has the tarot creature not stopped for a moment since the birth of the card somewhere in the Middle Ages until today?

Why do they band around the tribal bonfire well-known psychologists, filmmakers (like the legendary Khodorovsky who directed Dune and teaches tarot today at age 93), celebrities and businessmen?

But there is another issue - the corona did something to us in the spiritual section.

Like any war and global crisis, a situation of extreme difficulty increases the instinctive attraction to spirituality.

People are thirsty for answers, intention and connection more than ever when life circumstances are deteriorating: some say it is a sign of despair but I claim it is a sign of hope.

When life gets out of balance and things go wrong, it is actually a test of faith, devotion and strength.

The search for answers and spiritual strengthening - a sign of growth.

Because the crisis was global we can also see a global increase in the practice of the spirit, but it is a mirage, because the practice of the spirit has always been part of the daily human experience, and was not devoted solely to shamans, priests or "spiritualists".

Perhaps we should recognize that spirituality is a basic human need, not a supernatural or rare need.

Spiritual food is not much different from intellectual or culinary food.

The need for spirituality - although natural - has something unique about it, because it is a combination of psychology and mysticism.

The psychological aspect is familiar to us, but the mystical is always an enigma, a certain riddle that some of us worry about, and some of us fly over.

The reality is that today the tarot cards have undergone a metamorphosis, and the psychological aspect of them is greater than the mystical one.

It is true that we still "trust the universe" when the cards fall into their proper place in the layout, but the craft of interpretation is a purely psychological craft.

Jung himself saw the tarot as a thought-provoking craft of deep psychological expression, and relied on the tarot's ability to perform mirroring.

The wonderful professional Ruth Netzer has written extensively about the multi-faceted mental role of tarot cards, so the cards have long been not just part of divination, but an element that generates mental and therapeutic transformations.

Our profit from this is clean - for ourselves it is an opportunity to take the veil of "mysticism" off the cards, and start using them to get to know ourselves, the 78 parts we have built - represented by 78 cards.

It is an opportunity to truly befriend a tool that has always aroused in us a certain, thus increasing our mental and personal wholeness, embracing the spirituality we have built - no matter what we are engaged in and our interests, and getting to know ourselves better through visual and psychological representations.

The students who come to me come from all over the country and their interests.

Some are academics, some are involved in spirituality, treatment and herbal medicine and some are also lawyers, bureau directors and pediatricians.

To me, this is further evidence that Tarot is for everyone.

Some really want to make money from the tarot cards, so I say the

time is now

.

The need for tarot card readers is on the rise.

People want to not only know "what will happen": they want to know themselves better, their environment and the possibilities at their disposal.

They want to know how to proceed and which paths are open or closed to them.

They want to know more.

The cards are a tool for transmitting information and opening paths and gates in our lives, in theory and in practice.
