Reemtsma kidnapper Thomas Drach is said to have admitted to a fellow prisoner that he was accused of three robberies on money transporters.

This emerged on Monday from an application by the defense attorney for Drach's co-defendant.

With the application, the defense attorney wants to achieve, among other things, that the fellow prisoner will not be questioned as a witness as early as next Monday, as the court intended.

Cologne - The justification for the application showed that the prosecution witness and Drach are said to have met and talked to each other during a leisure activity as pre-trial detainees in the correctional facility in the Ossendorf district of Cologne.

In the conversation, both men are said to have given information about their criminal experiences.

In the further conversation, Drach is said to have told the fellow inmate that the allegations against him were "correct except for one", as stated in the application.

Drach is charged with four armed robberies of money transporters in Cologne, Frankfurt am Main and Limburg in Hesse in the trial before the Cologne district court.

In addition to particularly serious robbery, the prosecution also accuses him of attempted murder, because Drach is said to have shot and seriously injured money messengers.

Drach kidnapped the heirs of a Hamburg tobacco company in 1996 and only released him for ransom.

The 62-year-old was sentenced to fourteen and a half years in prison for the crime.
