After a broken foot, she has now been infected with Corona: SPD leader Saskia Esken.

For SPD leader Saskia Esken, there are two pieces of bad news at once.

Her broken foot is followed by a corona infection.

Berlin – For SPD leader Saskia Esken, health is anything but good.

After she had problems with her foot and was limping in early May, an ankle fracture was diagnosed a little later.

How this came about is not clear.

Now Esken has also contracted an infection with the corona virus.

With a message on Twitter, which she began with "Dear ones!", the SPD leader announced that her broken foot had now been joined by a Covid19 infection.

"I'll probably be out for a few days," she announced in her message and appealed to her followers: "Take care of yourself!"

Numerous Twitter users wished the SPD politician a speedy recovery, including names such as Katrin Göring-Eckardt (Greens), Dietmar Bartsch (Left), Sawsan Chebli (SPD) and Britta Haßelmann (Greens).
