Defense Minister Bnei Gantz said today (Monday) about the warnings of attacks in Turkey that Israel has prepared powerful responses "in case it is necessary to use them in all sorts of places."

Gantz added during a discussion in the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that "harming Israeli citizens will lead us to activate them. We will respond everywhere - physical and cybernetic (cyber attacks)."

Last week, Israel raised the travel warning to Istanbul to level 4, which is the highest level, and issued a severe travel warning to Israelis traveling to the country.

In the shadow of the threats, it was reported that the security forces in Turkey recently arrested agents in the service of Iran, who were planning to carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli tourists in the country.

In a statement on the subject issued by Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, he called on "Israelis who are there - come back as soon as possible."

Lapid asked Israeli citizens not to go on vacation in Turkey unless it was a vital need, he said, following "the events of recent weeks in Turkey and after a series of attempts at Iranian terrorist attacks against Israelis who went on vacation in Istanbul."

Foreign Minister Lapid is expected to leave for a political visit to Turkey next Thursday.

Lapid will meet with his counterpart, Foreign Minister Mevlot Chavushulu, with whom he will discuss cooperation between Israel and Turkey to thwart terrorist attacks against Israeli citizens in the country.

Another security report from the country was given according to which Israel and Turkey thwarted a Revolutionary Guards attack against Israeli citizens about a month ago, and a senior Israeli official stated that the attack was to be carried out in the form of an abduction.
