The lesson of these legislative elections is paradoxical: the President of the Republic is the big loser of this election, but no one can pose as a winner recognized by all.
He seems powerless, but nothing can be done without his political current which, if not a majority, remains the country's main force;
therefore the one with which it will be necessary to compose well.
It must however be recognized that to date, no one has the solution to what is undoubtedly the most serious political and institutional crisis that the Fifth Republic has known.
It is not - at least for the moment - the street or an economic collapse that threatens the executive, but a founding blockage for which it bears the primary responsibility.
