A horse is standing in the middle of the A9 Autobahn.
A driver catches the animal and takes it to safety.
He is now being celebrated for it online.
Allerberg — Actually, he only wants to drive acquaintances to the airport by car, but then he becomes a "man of honour" in the middle of the autobahn between the Allersberg junction and the Nuremberg/Feucht autobahn triangle.
This is what the rescuer is called in a comment on the Facebook page of the Central Franconia police.
He catches a saddled horse on the A9 and thus prevents worse.

But it's not just the horse that dares a trip on the Autobahn recently — animals keep getting lost on the dangerous road.
This also applies to a mother goose with her chicks, which were rescued from the motorway by the police in the Verden district.
While the geese family is mainly at a rest area and only threatens to run into the street, the horse on the A9 was right in the middle of the action.
There it paralyzes all traffic on the three-lane motorway.
Horse on the highway — apples as food for the nerves
A traffic jam quickly forms on the freeway.
The ownerless and saddled horse causes a stir.
A couple who are unable to continue due to the traffic jam donated "two apples as food for the nerves of the escaped mare, which were immediately and happily eaten by the animal".
As the Central Franconia police themselves write in their Facebook post, they arrived when the horse was already safe on the green strip at the edge of the autobahn.
This is not the first police operation because of horses on the freeway, just recently a horse in a trailer panicked so much that the freeway had to be closed on both sides.
Communication with the horse — trust is the be-all and end-all
The man who finally led the horse off the highway was able to gain the horse's trust.
He calms the horse and stays on site until the animal's owner arrives.
His acquaintances meanwhile drove his car to the airport so as not to miss the flight.
The police then take the man to his car.
The man is celebrated online for his courage and there are also words of praise for the police.

The Facebook post from the Central Franconia police was well received by many people, it was shared more than 4,000 times and commented on numerous times.
