The Iranian Foreign Ministry reiterated that the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria have greatly increased the suffering of its people, who are mainly exposed to systematic global terrorism.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh indicated during a press conference today that these harsh measures against the Syrian people came after the failure of Syria's enemies to achieve their goals militarily, stressing the need to preserve Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
On the other hand, with regard to the nuclear file, Khatibzadeh affirmed that his country is continuing the diplomatic path, pointing out that the Iranian government has made great efforts to revive the nuclear agreement and reach a good agreement, but America did not abide by its commitments.
He pointed out that Iran is one of the countries that refuses to possess nuclear weapons, but there are some countries, especially the Zionist entity, trying to increase its arsenal of these weapons at a time when America is working to cover that up.
