David Habib hopes not to have to sit in the Socialist group in the Assembly.

I'm working on setting up a Diverse-left group,
he told Le Figaro

The presidency of the PS group will be determined during the week, but not on Tuesday.
On the verge of being formed, the Nupes intergroup will have to be solid and united in order to obtain key positions within the National Assembly, including the famous and powerful presidency of the Finance Commission reserved in the regulations for an opposition group.
If the Nupes presents a single candidate, it can hope to win against the powerful RN group.
