The number of confirmed cases in Macau has risen, and a nationwide nucleic acid test is now being conducted.

From yesterday to tomorrow, Macao will conduct a nationwide nucleic acid test, targeting Macao residents and all those staying in Macao.

As of 9 am today, a total of 339,726 people have been sampled, of which 198,301 were negative.

The Macau Novel Coronavirus Infection Response and Coordination Center pointed out that a total of 34 people were infected in the new wave of the epidemic, involving 23 women and 11 men, ranging in age from 8 months to 89 years old. Among them, a total of 178 were close contacts.

The center also pointed out that among the 34 patients mentioned above, 8 had symptoms and 26 were asymptomatic.
