Ministry of Health concerned: jump in morbidity among those returning from abroad | Israel Today

The highest number comes from data revealed yesterday - 926 new verified were discovered in one day among returnees abroad, of which 118 positive who landed from Greece received a positive answer (12.7%).

The data we have also shows that the highest verified percentage in the last week is from Morocco, from where 100 positives came out of 1,365 passengers, more than 7% of all arrivals.

Portugal is in second place with 84 verified out of 1,222 returnees, 6.87% of all entrants from the country.

There are also quite a few positives among those returning from Spain - 336 verified out of 5,768, which is 5.83% who returned from there when they were verified last week.

Other countries at the top of the list are Montenegro with 54 verified out of 816 returns (6.62%), Austria with 71 verified out of 3,394 returns (2.09%) and other countries such as France, Thailand, Italy and Germany, which also have some increase in the number of positive returns.

The Ministry of Health is not currently working on new restrictions on the aviation and tourism industry.

Remember, foreign tourists can enter the country freely and Israelis who want to fly can do so according to the requirements of the destination country, the State of Israel does not require checks before leaving the country or before returning to the country.
