Penzberg – The bet between the city and Roche is scheduled for next Saturday.
A human chain is to be formed on the town square.
From next Friday, June 24th to Sunday, June 26th, the big city festival will take place in Penzberg.
As reported, the municipality has brought the Roche company on board, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary at the Nonnenwald site this year.
Now the secret of the planned city bet has also been revealed: This is scheduled for Saturday, June 25, at 9:45 p.m.
Roche bets the city of Penzberg that it will not be able to form a human chain with 100 people on the town square under the following conditions: All 100 people must be Penzbergers - 50 of them are employed by Roche and the other 50 are their family members.
If Roche loses the bet, the company will donate to two non-profit Penzberg organizations for a good cause, the town hall announced.
On the other hand, it was still unclear what the city would bring in the event of a defeat until last Wednesday.
City hall spokesman Thomas Sendl told the Rundschau newspaper that they would certainly make “a contribution”.
Redeeming the city bet with Mayor Stefan Korpan and Roche Plant Manager Dr.
Ulrich Opitz takes place on the big stage of the town square.
