The 70-year-old Canadian director and screenwriter Paul Haggis intends to answer all the questions of the Prosecutor's Office and the investigating judge of Brindisi, before whom he will reject all the accusations,
under arrest for sexual violence
and aggravated injuries.
The validation hearing and interrogation will be scheduled by Thursday.
Meanwhile, according to what is learned, the prosecutor is taking steps to translate the documents into English.
"Haggis - explains the defender, Michele Laforgia - immediately declared that he was completely innocent and hoped for the maximum speed of all the necessary investigations to clarify the matter".
"Obviously - adds the lawyer Laforgia -, before knowing the acts as the basis of the precautionary measure and being heard by the judicial authorities, we cannot declare anything else, nor enter into the merits of the accusations".
The lawyer also confirms that "Paul Haggis is currently in Ostuni, at his home, in custody by order of the Public Prosecutor of Brindisi. We are waiting to be summoned by the judge for the preliminary investigations for the guarantee questioning and make our version of events ".
