Wolfratshausen – The last concert on the Bergwaldbühne was a secret.

In July 2020, the Beuerberg alphorn players blew their instruments and, to the surprise of the Wolfratshausen residents, sang some songs, such as the "Egerländer Liedermarsch".

Nobody knew about it, normal concerts with an audience were not possible due to the pandemic.

"A moment of goosebumps", many found down on the streets and squares when they suddenly and unexpectedly heard the sounds.

The pandemic is not considered to be over, but cultural events are basically possible again due to the easing of restrictions.

Nevertheless, it is unlikely that anything will take place on the Bergwaldbühne in the foreseeable future.

"We would very much like to put the stage back into operation, but unfortunately it is not playable at the moment," explains cultural manager Marlene Schretzenmaier.

"There is no telling when this will happen again." The events in the summer therefore have to be relocated to other locations.

This is how the cabaret artist Constanze Lindner was supposed to appear on the open-air stage in Wolfratshausen on Friday, July 15th.

Now it is planned that she will entertain her audience in the Bergkramerhof, in bad weather in the winter garden of the Café Herzblut.

The same applies to the musician and actor Michael Fitz, who will perform on Saturday, July 16 instead of on the Bergwaldbühne in the inner courtyard of the town hall (the bad weather option: Tingel Tangel at the Hans-Urmiller-Ring).

The poetry slam on Sunday, July 17, will be held in the garden of the city library, or in the foyer of the Loisachhalle if the weather is unfavorable.

Lucy von Kuhl will play music with her band on Thursday, July 21, in the garden of the city library, in the foyer of the Loisachhalle when it rains.

And last but not least: instead of over the roofs of Wolfratshausen, cabaret artist Holger Paetz will be giving his punchlines on Sunday,

Bergwaldbühne in Wolfratshausen would be a "great asset"

Culture consultant Sepp Schwarzenbach (CSU) finds it "extremely a pity" that the city has to do without the unique Bergwaldbühne venue for the time being.

"There is actually already a desire across factions that things continue up there." The location is a "great enrichment".

However, in view of the financial difficulties in Loisachstadt, it is currently not possible to convey that the Bergwaldbühne will be upgraded again for a lot of money.

The last major event with around 5000 visitors took place there in 2005.

Heavy rain in 2013 then permanently damaged the stage.

The grandstand objected to by the TÜV has now been dismantled.
