The Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of a UAV control post for Ukrainian forces in the Odessa region and the elimination of 450 Ukrainian Nazi militants during the day.
Ministry spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov said in a press briefing today on the outcome of the military operation in Ukraine that the Russian armed forces targeted military installations on the territory of Ukraine in 148 regions and as a result destroyed 25 command centers and 59 artillery batteries.
Konashenkov added: “A high-precision Onyx missile from the Bastion coastal defense missile system was launched at Artsys airport in the Odessa region, as a result of which a control site for Bayraktar (TB2) UAVs and two UAVs in this complex were destroyed on the ground.”
Konashenkov pointed out that 11 platoons of Grad rocket launchers were wounded in the Kortymovka, Ochertino, Sukhia-Balka, Novgorodsky, Myorovka, Otradovka and Zaitsevo regions.
Konashenkov noted that operational and tactical aviation and army aviation bombed 47 concentration areas for manpower, equipment and the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system in the town of Severska in the Donetsk People's Republic, in addition to a radar for optical monitoring and control of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system in Novodrozhska region, Lugansk People's Republic.
Konashenkov indicated that the Russian air defense systems downed a MiG-29 of the Ukrainian Air Force near the village of Apostolovo in the Dnepropetrovsk region, nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the air in the Alesova regions on the outskirts of Kharkov, Verkhnitoretsko in the Donetsk People's Republic, Grechkino in the Lugansk People's Republic, the Mogila Kolycha and Tumen hills Balka and Chernobaevka on the outskirts of Kherson.
Konashenkov said that since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, 208 aircraft, 132 helicopters, 1,260 drones, 345 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,696 tanks and armored personnel carriers, 576 rocket launchers, 2,055 artillery batteries and mortars, and 3,731 special military vehicles have been destroyed.
The Russian Ministry of Defense indicated that during the special military operation, the enemy suffered great losses, and during a month of battles, the 14th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian forces alone lost more than 2,100 dead and wounded, and because of the low moral and psychological state, and with the aim of compensating the losses, 800 people refused to join the combat zone, accusing the officers of incompetence and bribery. Favoritism in the payment of financial allowances.
The ministry pointed out that about 100 military personnel of the reconnaissance unit were exempted from combat duties in the 10th Mountain Attack Brigade due to the mass insurrection and were transferred to the city of Kremenchug for investigation.
