The Monday after the Whitsun holidays got off to a good start: due to several technical problems, the S2 experienced delays or cancellations.

Markt Schwaben/Poing – Sunday evening, after a long flight back from the Whitsun holidays with the S8 (which was already late at the airport late in the evening) arrived at the Leuchtenbergring in the hope of taking the S2 towards Erding home to Poing.

At the request of our newspaper, the press office of Deutsche Bahn announced on Monday that "due to a signal or interlocking malfunction, traffic on the S2 S-Bahn line has been impaired since Sunday evening".
The section between Markt Schwaben and Feldkirchen is affected and currently (as of Monday afternoon) also a signal in the area of Markt Schwaben station.
As a result, according to a railway spokesman, there are delays and delays in this section.

Because of this, the train set up a shuttle service between Markt Schwaben and Erding on Monday morning.
From the west (Munich), the S2 only runs to Riem.
Between there and Markt Schwaben, buses drive as a replacement, the train reports.
In addition, trains of the Southeast Bavarian Railway could be used.
"Technicians from Deutsche Bahn are on site and are working flat out to rectify the fault," said the railway spokesman on Monday afternoon.
A forecast of how long the work will take cannot be given at the moment.
